Welcome to Fonville Tree Service. These terms cover both the use of fonvilletreeservice.com and the tree care services we provide. By using our website, requesting a quote, or hiring us for a job, you agree to the terms below. If something here is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we’ll explain.
Who We Are
Fonville Tree Service is a family-owned tree service based in Wake Forest, North Carolina, in business since September 1986. The owner of record is Brice Fonville.

Estimates and Quotes
- Estimates are free.
- Quoted prices are based on the scope of work as we understood it during our visit, the condition of the trees, and the access and ground conditions on the day of the estimate.
- Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
- If conditions on the day of the job differ from what we quoted (hidden hazards, storm damage, restricted access we weren’t aware of), we will talk to you before doing additional work or charging additional cost.
Scheduling
- Tree work is weather-dependent. Heavy rain, high winds, lightning, ice, and unsafe ground conditions can force us to reschedule. We will give you as much notice as we can.
- If you need to reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible so we can plan the day for the rest of the crew and other customers.
Property Access and Authorization
- By scheduling work, you confirm that you are the property owner or have the property owner’s permission to authorize tree work on the property.
- You are responsible for telling us about anything underground we should know about (sprinkler lines, septic systems, invisible fences, gas lines, fiber lines, etc.). We will call 811 for public utility locates when required, but private lines past the meter are the homeowner’s responsibility to identify.
- Please keep pets indoors and children away from the work area while crews are on site.
Pricing and Payment
- Pricing for each job is set in the written estimate.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work.
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
- Returned checks may be subject to a fee equal to the bank’s charge plus reasonable handling.
- Past-due balances may accrue interest at the rate allowed by North Carolina law.
Our Work
- We stand behind our work. If something we did doesn’t look or function the way we described, contact us within a reasonable time and we’ll come back to make it right.
- Tree work involves living things and weather. We cannot guarantee that a pruned or treated tree will survive every storm, every season, or every disease, but we will do honest, careful work and tell you what we see.
- Stump grinding leaves wood chips and grindings behind. Unless otherwise agreed, hauling away grindings and replacing grass are not included.
Insurance
Fonville Tree Service carries the insurance required for our trade. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Photos and Marketing
We may take photos and short videos of completed work to use on our website, social media, and Google Business Profile. We do not publish home addresses, customer names, or any identifying details about the homeowner. If you would prefer that we not photograph your property, just let the crew know before we start.
Customer Responsibilities
By hiring us you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property and the work requested.
- Disclose known underground utilities, irrigation, septic systems, and similar hazards.
- Move vehicles and personal items out of the work zone before the crew arrives.
- Keep children, pets, and bystanders clear of the work area for the duration of the job.
Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled job at any time. We ask for as much notice as you can give us so we can re-route the crew. We may cancel or postpone a scheduled job if conditions are unsafe (severe weather, inaccessible site, equipment failure). When we do, we’ll reschedule at the next available date.
Limitation of Liability
We work hard to protect your property. Some impact on the lawn, soft ground, or surrounding shrubs is normal during tree work, especially when bringing equipment in or removing large limbs. To the fullest extent allowed by North Carolina law, our total liability for any claim arising from a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
